The surroundings - Tips for trips
The immediate and wider surroundings of Lhotka have sufficient attractions to provide you for several weeks with destinities for your trips. We would not like to overdo our offer, so for just some impression we may introduce to you:
Up to 10km - walking, cycling, cross-country skiing
- Directly above the village is a hill where there is the ”Stone Sea” nature reserve and on the top the ruins of ”Štamberk Castle”.
- About 3 km northwest of Lhotka Michova Rock rises - a granite rock with a commanding view of the surrounding countryside. In this area in 1829 the last remaining wolf in the Jihlavian Highlands was shot.

Rock „Míchová Skála“
- In 1565 the lake Velký Pařezitý was created as a drinking water reservoir for Telč. It is now a botanical nature reserve and in summer you may swim there (3km).
- The top Javořice is the highest point of the Highlands on the border of Bohemia and Moravia, it is marked by a 160 m high TV transmittor (4km).
- Studánka Páně - a natural water spring, where during the Contra-Reformation in the 18th century members of the Czech evangelistic churches used to meet and pray secretly. To remember those times, every August an open air meeting is held here.
- The King of the Javořice - this spruce, the largest and highest of the woods in the wide surroundings, is situated halfway Lhotka and the hilltop Javořice.

The town of Telč
- Roštejn Castle - (9 km) this preserved gothic castle, situated in a beech forest at a rocky hilltop, was completed in the first half of the 14 century by a count of the family from Hradec. In the 16 century the castle was rebuilt into a hunting castle in renessaince style. Inside the castle there are collections of china, ceramics and tin and an exhibition of highland stone-work.
- Telč - (7km)- In 1992 Telč has been enlisted amongst the UNESCO World Heritage Monuments. It contains a unique complex of renaissance merchant houses with archway and mural and sculptural decorations. The castle houses a museum and an exhibition of works of Jan Zrzavý. Further there are two towers opened for visitors, of which one is Romanesque and the other has a gallery ideal for sightseeing. Just outside the town a new look-out tower
has been constructed.
- Řásná - (2km) - St. Cyril and Metoděj Chapel with decorative elements of modern arts.
- Along the footpath from Řásná to Telč the “Chapel of St. Charles” is situated, a monumental location (4 km)
- The Lime tree In Praskolesy
A time-honoured tree with a circumference of 9,5 m. The huge trunk is carved out and inside hangs the village bell and there is room for at least 12 people. (6 km)
- Habermann the Black Smith
It is possible to visit an artistic blacksmith (only group visits).

Up to 50km - by car or by bicycle
- Kostelní Vydří (18 km) - the cloister of Marie Karmelská
- Dačice (20 km) - a castle, a cloister
- Nová Říše (18 km) - monastery
- Třešť (18 km) - town with a museum of traditional nativity scenes (in the house of former prof. J.A. Schumpeter)
- Slavonice (33 km) - square, outlook -tower, catacombs
- Žirovnice (20 km) - castle, pearl and button museum
- Jindřichův Hradec (35 km) - castle, railway with steam trains

- Jindřichův Hradec – Nová Bystřice, a narrow railway on which steam engines are used
- Červená Lhota Castle (45 km) - very romantic castle on a small island
- Landštejn (44 km) - the ruins of a huge castle
- Jihlava (30 km) - museums, ZOO, outlook-tower, catacombs, water-paradise (swimming pool)
- Choustník (45 km) - the ruins of a castle
- The Caves of Chýnov (44 km) - the nearest caves, which together with Choustník and Kámen form a nice destinity for a one-day-trip
- Kámen (44 km) - castle with an exposition of oldtimer motorbikes
